Nothing new this summer. But it wasn't boring too. I've been watching OTH from the very first season up to the 3rd, and I just bought seasons 5 and 6. Weeee. Im so excited to go home but we need to be there for Kuya NJ's graduation party. He just graduated. So Kuya Nikol, if you're reading this, congratulations! You will be immortalized through my blog plus you're graduating. :D
Anyway, sorry for not posting daily or weekly or whatever. Wala pa ako sa mood eh. Plus, there's nothing nice to post pa naman. Unless you want me to fill you with OTH Naley mushy stuff. Hahaha. Just a while ago I watched some Haley-Nathan-Jamie clips. They look totally cute together--as a family.
Hopefully, I could enroll for college reviews later. AG ata ako, with my classmates. STOMP could wait I guess. If there'd be any STOMP classes for me. Mama Raiyne asked me if I wanted to enroll to Sir Christian's class this April because there's a discount if I would enroll NOW, as in today, but I don't think I'd be taking Hip-Hop. I want contemporary classes so BADLY. Hahahah. Another expectation this summer is L4D with Kuya, Pat and Charmaine. Hahaha. Last year it was o2.
But the thing about his year's summer is.... it is so hot. Should I expound? :

Finally SUMMMMEEEERRRR!! I dont feel like posting kasi may hang over pa ako sa super daming ginawa. LOL. Uhm. So far, nagkaroon na kami ng sunod-sunod na gimmick. Hahah. After scool, we went to Gar's house for Charmi's bday. Feel na feel talaga namin yung independence at party spirit eh. Kasi nag grocery pa kami ng mga kakainin namin. Hahaha. After nun, went to Gar's house na. Some cooked, some swam na. Mga 10pm? na ata kami nagstop magswim. Naligo kami. Naglaro ng "I Never" tapos nauwi rin sa tanungan. Kaso si Paul, ang aga matulog. :| Parang nung October lang din! LOL. Unlike last October's Birthday Slumber Bash, mas madaling makatulog last Wednesday! Hahaha. Nung October, sobrang struggle kami para lang makatulog. Nung Thursday (morning), ayos lang. Ang bilis. Pero 4am rin yun. Hahaha. Pagkagising namin, nagluto ng pagkain tapos nagligpit ng bahay na parang dinaanan ng bagyo tapos nagswimming! Tapos umuwi na kaming lahat at natulog buong araw. Kinabukasan (Friday).. Birthday naman ni Luii! Wee. Club Manila East sa Tatay, Rizal. Ayun, super swimming at super pictures. Hahaha. Basta, multiply na lang. Nangitim kaming lahat, yun lang ang masasabi ko. Hahaha. Tapos groggy na kaming lahat nung pauwi. Pero nakayanan pa rin namin magtakutan. Nako. :| :)) Saturday, uhm. Nagpagupit. Bangs. Short Hair. New Look. Tumingin ng bagong cp. Sana mabili. :D
Plans for summer? Unang-una ang review dyan syempre. Acad Gateway sa Taft. :)) Layo eh noh. Hmm. Contemporary Classes sa STOMP. May ko na siguro ito mattake. Muay Thai? Boxing? I dunno. :)) Pitogo! Weee. Augustus syempre! Miss those people so much na. GIMMICKS. Lotsof'em. Chores. Hahaha. o:)

Ito ay isa sa mga araw na nagsasalita ako sa Tagalog dahil gusto ko. Isa sa mga araw na gusto ko na lang umuwi agad. Pero naging masaya naman ako sa jump shots kanina. Salamat mga pare. Isa sa mga araw na hindi ko ninais lumipas. Ayos lang yan Mitch, forever young ka. Isa sa mga araw na pakiramdam ko hindi ko na kaya. Isa sa mga araw na mas masakit yung nararamdaman ko kasi tinatago ko lang. Pagkatapos ng ilang linggong puno ng kasiyahan, eto na naman, napa "shh" ako. Kanina parang ang hirap. Napa-emo ako. Nakakalungkot kasi parang... Uhm.. Basta. I was so close to breaking down. Bakit ngayon? Bakit ngayong araw na toh? Bakit ngayon pa? Kasi hindi na pwede bukas dahil wala nang kwenta. Tulad ng ibang araw na lilipas, isang ordinaryong araw na lamang. Tulad ng ibang lumipas at hindi naging maganda ang kinatunguhan. HINDI. Ayaw ko ng ganun. Hindi ko ata kakayanin yung ganun...
Hindi ko kasi aakalain na sa lahat lahat ng tao, siya pa yung PINAKAMAKAKAINTINDI. As in hindi talaga expected. Nagugulat na lang ako kasi "ay! naappreciate ako" Parang ganun. Hindi kasi ako sanay na napapansin ako, so parang ako, nagugulat ako. Reaksyon ko, ay, bakit ka concerned? Ganun. Anyway, yung masakit lang kasi nasa dulo ako ng lubid. Isang kamay na lang yung nakahawak. Onti na lang bibitaw na.
Marami akong pangarap, bata pa lang ako. Mga pangarap na hindi ko naman noon aakalain na pwede palang mangyari. Pero dahil kay friend, nagkaroon ako ng bilib sa sarili ko. Hindi ko naman to sineseryoso noon eh, pero ngayon nagkadireksyon yung buhay ko.Masaya lang ako at naging parte ka ng buhay ko, friend. Kahit minsan hindi kita maintindihan at kahit minsan ang dami mong' alam, nagpapasalamat ako sa Diyos dahil ganyan ka. Kahit kailan, hindi ko aakalain na masasabi mo sakin yung mga ganung bagay. Ang sarap maluha nun kasi parang first time may nagtanggol sakin. Hindi yun normal really. Heaven sent pa kasi ngayon pa na yun mismo yung pinoproblema ko. Swak eh. Ngayon na malayo ako sa bestfriend ko, malayo ako kay Pards, siya yung nagsabi ng mga bagay na usually sinasabi nila. At kahit kailan, yung mga nasabi niya at yung concern niya, hindi ko naramdaman kahit kanino maliban sa dalawang nabanggit. (Haha) Pero seryoso, maraming salamat dahil nagawa mo yun. Friend, I lovelove you as a friend. :] Patawad kung hindi ko napaparamdam na naaappreciate ko lahat ng ginagawa mo para sakin. Ngayon nararamdaman ko na na sana naging maingay na lang ako sayo. Sana nagkwento na lang ako. Sana nagshare ako. Hindi lang tiga-kinig sayo at sa mga kwento mo. Tapos ngayon, mawawala ka na. Mamimiss kita friend.

Jay: anong... dahilan, bakit kayo naghiwalay? Rayms: alam mo hindi ko rin alam (hehe) siguro nag... nag... nag-ano na rin. nag.. well.. si.. si ely.. si ely quit. so ayun na yun eh. Marcus: nagtext lang si ely na graduate na daw siya. so okay. para sakin ..uhh.. biglaan siya. pero at the same time parang alam ko na rin kasi parang nasabihan na rin niya si Julie (manager) na .. uh.. parang may warning.. parang yun. parang tama lang oras. "ahh yun na pala". parang ganun. Buddy: uhmm... any uhmm.. effective studio band, or studio artist na nagsasama for a.. for a.. for a project will eventually run out of projects that they're interested in and they'll eventually part ways. so same thing with the eraserheads. we went through 7 or 8 studio albums. and... uhhm.. yun. one day si ely fin.. finally decided to call it quits. ganun kasmiple lang. nothing ano.. noooo drama about it. everything else that you hear yung mga drama parts, yung mga away, mga disagreements, nanyayare talaga yan eh.
Jay: ano ang eheads sayo? what does it mean? sa buhay mo? Ely: (laughs so painfully, i think) banda ko... dati.... yun. (doesn't look at the cam that much) aw...

Jay: isang gabi kung saan huling nakitang tumutugtog sila bilang isang banda. ito na raw ang tanging maireregalo ng eraserheads sa kanilang mga taga-hanga na hindi bumitaw at nagpatuloy ng suporta. sa huling pagkakataon, nagbass si Buddy, naggitara si Marcus, nagdrums si Raymund at kumanta si Ely. Isang pasasalamat ng "banda ng masa" Buddy: sakin isa siyang mahabang kwento na akala mo may.. may katapusan tas biglang may susunod na kabanata pala. na may kasamang soudtrack kasi may kasamang album yun eh. so yung eraserheads para sakin is one long story na pwede kong ikwento sa anak ko.
Rayms: madaming hindi ano eh... not growing for us eh. kunwari di ka gwapo nga, di pala kelangan magandang lalaki, pwede pa rin! hindi kami.. hindi kami magaling tumugtog, pero pwede pala! hindi kami magaling kumanta, pwede rin pala! so lahat yun legacy. pero yung.. yung.. yung craftmanship ng kanta yung respeto sa art, meron kami nun. yun pala yun. so.. yung song... alam mo yun pagmamahal sa.. sa.. sa music. Ely: eto na.. ang huling el bimbo.. sing!
Crowd: magkahawak ang ating kamay at walang kamalay-malay. na tinuruan mo ang puso ko na umibig ng tunay...

As said by the lyrics itself, a few hours is better than never. Two nights is better than a few hours as well. Last August 30, 2008, a few people knew about a reunion concert. A lot of changes happened. A few days before, the concert was canceled. But Raymund updated the people that the concert will pursue, changing the sponsor and lowering the age limit from 18 to 12 :) Thanks to Mitch, I got a chance to watch the band I've always wanted to watch, live & together.
Nung nandun na kami, may countdown timer ng 10 mins tapos... the intro of Alapaap suddenly played. Everyone was shouting, everyone was screaming. Eto na talaga! When Ely started to sing, people were also singing with him. And the concert continued. 15 songs were played, mostly the familiar songs like With A Smile, Huwag Kang Matakot etc. and they ended the first set with Lightyears. Ely sat down leaning his chin on his hand and his hand on his guitar. Nobody expected something to happen until it was announced (after 20 long mins) that he was rushed to the hospital. Nobody raged. We all understood. And then we offered a moment of prayer and silence. And we all went home. I turned the TV on as soon as I got home from The Fort. News about the concert and Ely's health showed up and I was relieved when they said that he's going to be fine. Raymund also said (to Ely) Pagaling ka, may tatapusin pa tayo. A promise that was kept after a few months. :D
Unang problema, wala pang balita. Then it was announced na tuloy yung concert some time during the latter of January.
Pangalawang problema, walang pera. So nagipon ako. Kaso hindi naging consistent. Pero ayos na, kahit silver lang.
Pangatlo at pang-apat, baka sold out na yung tickets! Eto yung kaba stage. Kasi naman, ang daming nagsabing sold out na! Si Luisa pinakamatindi eh. Katabi ko pa sya nun sa symposium tapos nagdadasal kami. Biglang... "JANZY! SOLD OUT NA DAW TICKETS!" WTF! BAKIIIIT?!?! :(( Nangingilid na yung mga luha ko, tapos iniisip ko kung pano na kaya ako makakapanuod. Binaon ko sa utak ko na may tickets pa sa SM, may tickets pa sa SM, may tickets pa sa SM!!!! Kaso, hindi naman ako makabili agad dahil 2 linggo bago ang concert, wala pa ring' pwedeng sumama sakin! Hanggang sa... Thurday bago ang play namin sa Teatro, nagusap usap kami nina Gmick at Nina. Tapos sinabi na ni gmick na pupunta siyang SM bukas at titignan nya kung may tickets pa. Saturday morning, nasa bahay ako nina Kai dahil doon ako natulog. Nagtext... sabi... "Yehey! We got our silver tickets!" Ang saya ko nun grabe. Tapos pwede na din si Nina so double yehey! =)
And we waited for 030709 to come. Along with that wait was the death of a rap icon and another legend, Francis M. It was said that he was supposed to be a surprise dun sa concert, sadly, he passed away the day before. Napaisip pa nga ako eh, bakit kaya laging may namamatay bago mag concert yung Eheads? Hm.
Huling problemang prinoblema.. Ang aking tatay na magaling. Last minute talaga, nagdedesisyon pa sya kung papayagan ako ampf. Pero itinulog ko na lang. Hahaha. Nung umaga na, sabi ng mum ko sasama na lang sya. Una dahil wala akong kasama (parang di ata tao si Nina, Gmick at GF); pangalawa dahil gusto niya. Hahah. So bumili kami ng ticket for her and went to MOA na. Kumain muna kami sa Magnolia dahil katapat lang naman nya yung entrance namin. We waited hanggang magkaroon ng pila. Tapos may pila na nga. Mga 3:30 pa lang nun nakapila na kami ng nanay ko. Kinakausap pa nga namin yung guard na nagbabantay ng entrance. Sabi bawal daw kami tumili, bawal daw sumigaw at umiyak. (Obviously, hinding hindi manyayare yun. Haha) Pinapasok kami around 4:00. Nakakuha kami ng space sa pinakaharap. Bang! :D And nothing was left to do but wait under the friggin' hot sun. ANG INIT SOBRA! Pero tiis lang. Nakatayo, nakaupo, ang hirap ng agawan ng pwesto nung una.. Nagaantay kami ng ilang oras. Ang tagal mag 8pm. Ilang ulit na namin napanood yung mga ads ng sponsors.
Tapos lumabas sina Anne Curtis with her 35K headband. Andun din si Sib, Andie and the other one. Kaso napahiya lang ata sila. Kasi lahat ng nasa likod namin nagboo. :)) Lahat talaga excited na mag eheads! Hanggang sa... tumugtog ang Magasin. Lahat natuwa. =) They continued their supposed to be songs sa second set nung concert last August 30 tapos nagkabreak. We prayed that nothing would happen. And nothing did. During the next set, Ely was sitting on a chair playing his Fender guitar. A lot happened. Meron pa ngang time na si Marcus yung Huwag Mo Nang Itanong pero iba. :)) Ang laughtrip eh, ang kulit. Tapos maya-maya may Hello Kitty guitar na sya. =))
Everyone was enjoying the concert. Hoping that it would NEVER END. During the final songs of the show, which was a clue when they already sang Pare Ko and evetually Minsan, we were shouting, NO!!! Ayaw ko pang magend! After their song Overdrive, Ely told everyone "Goodnight" and we were all "WEH. Joke lang yan! More!!! El Bimbo!" Tapos ayun na nga, isa pa ulit. Pero after those songs again, nag goodnight na naman sya. Another "whooo. utut mo! We want more!" Tapos they opened it with "Mabuhay si Franics M!" And we sang Superproxy and Kaleidoscope World while videos and pictures of Francis M were flashing on the screens.
Hanggang sa... Ang Huling El Bimbo na. :(( Potek, ayaw ko pa! Ang sakit ng pakiramdam, naman! Everybody was singing the song, everyone was "feeling" it, waving their hands, closing their eyes... Listening to the final song of the final concert.. Nung malapit na matapos yung kanta, lahat naiiyak na. Sinisigaw na yung lahat ng makakaya nila. May fireworks sa likod, may Eheads sa harap. Confetti na parang falling leaves pag autumn. After the final note that Ely sang, he poured gaas on their Sticker Happy Piano. His bandmates were still playing their notes of the song. Ely burned the piano and kicked it. Marking that moment the last of the Eraserheads. Final Set na nga talaga. :( When the song was over, lahat kami sumisigaw ng "GROUP HUG!" and they did. It was a perfect moment. :D

But wait, there's more! They've said their goodbyes and everyone was on their way to the exits. Sobrang lapit na nga namin nun eh pero biglang may nagsalita, "Gusto niyo pa ba?!" The Heck! OO!!!! Then, before I knew it, everyone was running, celebrating, shouting! Nabuksan pa yung mga harang kaya evryone was already inside the Gold Section. They sang 3 songs for "the road" as Ely reffered it to. Ligaya, Sembreak, Toyang. Lahat nagsisigawan. Kahit ako, paos na paos na. And it was aleady over, but it was WORTH IT. :)

Ika nga sa plug nila bago mag show. Ang bawat henerasyon ay may kanya-kanyang soundtrack. They were wrong, this is not just a soudtrack of a generation, it was a soudtrack of the lives of all the people whom they have touched. It was a soudtrack of all time. I grew up with their songs especially Ang Huling El Bimbo since Papa sings it in the Karaoke all the time. But I got into this band when I had my first lovewhen I was 12. Yung tunog kasi nila, pwede sa kahit anong sitwasyon o kahit anong klase ng tao. It would remind us of the simplicity of life and love back then. It inspired a lot of people in the music industry. Eto na naman po tayo sa never ending pressure. Isang pressure na parang unti-unting gumagapang sakin. Matagal na pala, hindi ko lang napapansin. Well, napansin ko naman noon, akala ko lang hindi sila ganun kakitid para gawin yun. Hindi sya classroom-related, ayaw ko ng away. Hahaha. Pero seryoso, may pressure talaga sakin ngayon. Nung una lokohan lang, pero ngayon kasi SOBRA NA EH. Alam niyo yun? Kaya SSSHHH na lang ako after eh. Kaibigan nga di naman considerate.

Nothing new this summer. But it wasn't boring too. I've been watching OTH from the very first season up to the 3rd, and I just bought seasons 5 and 6. Weeee. Im so excited to go home but we need to be there for Kuya NJ's graduation party. He just graduated. So Kuya Nikol, if you're reading this, congratulations! You will be immortalized through my blog plus you're graduating. :D
Anyway, sorry for not posting daily or weekly or whatever. Wala pa ako sa mood eh. Plus, there's nothing nice to post pa naman. Unless you want me to fill you with OTH Naley mushy stuff. Hahaha. Just a while ago I watched some Haley-Nathan-Jamie clips. They look totally cute together--as a family.
Hopefully, I could enroll for college reviews later. AG ata ako, with my classmates. STOMP could wait I guess. If there'd be any STOMP classes for me. Mama Raiyne asked me if I wanted to enroll to Sir Christian's class this April because there's a discount if I would enroll NOW, as in today, but I don't think I'd be taking Hip-Hop. I want contemporary classes so BADLY. Hahahah. Another expectation this summer is L4D with Kuya, Pat and Charmaine. Hahaha. Last year it was o2.

Finally SUMMMMEEEERRRR!! I dont feel like posting kasi may hang over pa ako sa super daming ginawa. LOL. Uhm. So far, nagkaroon na kami ng sunod-sunod na gimmick. Hahah. After scool, we went to Gar's house for Charmi's bday. Feel na feel talaga namin yung independence at party spirit eh. Kasi nag grocery pa kami ng mga kakainin namin. Hahaha. After nun, went to Gar's house na. Some cooked, some swam na. Mga 10pm? na ata kami nagstop magswim. Naligo kami. Naglaro ng "I Never" tapos nauwi rin sa tanungan. Kaso si Paul, ang aga matulog. :| Parang nung October lang din! LOL. Unlike last October's Birthday Slumber Bash, mas madaling makatulog last Wednesday! Hahaha. Nung October, sobrang struggle kami para lang makatulog. Nung Thursday (morning), ayos lang. Ang bilis. Pero 4am rin yun. Hahaha. Pagkagising namin, nagluto ng pagkain tapos nagligpit ng bahay na parang dinaanan ng bagyo tapos nagswimming! Tapos umuwi na kaming lahat at natulog buong araw. Kinabukasan (Friday).. Birthday naman ni Luii! Wee. Club Manila East sa Tatay, Rizal. Ayun, super swimming at super pictures. Hahaha. Basta, multiply na lang. Nangitim kaming lahat, yun lang ang masasabi ko. Hahaha. Tapos groggy na kaming lahat nung pauwi. Pero nakayanan pa rin namin magtakutan. Nako. :| :)) Saturday, uhm. Nagpagupit. Bangs. Short Hair. New Look. Tumingin ng bagong cp. Sana mabili. :D

Ito ay isa sa mga araw na nagsasalita ako sa Tagalog dahil gusto ko. Isa sa mga araw na gusto ko na lang umuwi agad. Pero naging masaya naman ako sa jump shots kanina. Salamat mga pare. Isa sa mga araw na hindi ko ninais lumipas. Ayos lang yan Mitch, forever young ka. Isa sa mga araw na pakiramdam ko hindi ko na kaya. Isa sa mga araw na mas masakit yung nararamdaman ko kasi tinatago ko lang. Pagkatapos ng ilang linggong puno ng kasiyahan, eto na naman, napa "shh" ako. Kanina parang ang hirap. Napa-emo ako. Nakakalungkot kasi parang... Uhm.. Basta. I was so close to breaking down. Bakit ngayon? Bakit ngayong araw na toh? Bakit ngayon pa? Kasi hindi na pwede bukas dahil wala nang kwenta. Tulad ng ibang araw na lilipas, isang ordinaryong araw na lamang. Tulad ng ibang lumipas at hindi naging maganda ang kinatunguhan. HINDI. Ayaw ko ng ganun. Hindi ko ata kakayanin yung ganun...
Hindi ko kasi aakalain na sa lahat lahat ng tao, siya pa yung PINAKAMAKAKAINTINDI. As in hindi talaga expected. Nagugulat na lang ako kasi "ay! naappreciate ako" Parang ganun. Hindi kasi ako sanay na napapansin ako, so parang ako, nagugulat ako. Reaksyon ko, ay, bakit ka concerned? Ganun. Anyway, yung masakit lang kasi nasa dulo ako ng lubid. Isang kamay na lang yung nakahawak. Onti na lang bibitaw na.
Marami akong pangarap, bata pa lang ako. Mga pangarap na hindi ko naman noon aakalain na pwede palang mangyari. Pero dahil kay friend, nagkaroon ako ng bilib sa sarili ko. Hindi ko naman to sineseryoso noon eh, pero ngayon nagkadireksyon yung buhay ko.Masaya lang ako at naging parte ka ng buhay ko, friend. Kahit minsan hindi kita maintindihan at kahit minsan ang dami mong' alam, nagpapasalamat ako sa Diyos dahil ganyan ka. Kahit kailan, hindi ko aakalain na masasabi mo sakin yung mga ganung bagay. Ang sarap maluha nun kasi parang first time may nagtanggol sakin. Hindi yun normal really. Heaven sent pa kasi ngayon pa na yun mismo yung pinoproblema ko. Swak eh. Ngayon na malayo ako sa bestfriend ko, malayo ako kay Pards, siya yung nagsabi ng mga bagay na usually sinasabi nila. At kahit kailan, yung mga nasabi niya at yung concern niya, hindi ko naramdaman kahit kanino maliban sa dalawang nabanggit. (Haha) Pero seryoso, maraming salamat dahil nagawa mo yun. Friend, I lovelove you as a friend. :] Patawad kung hindi ko napaparamdam na naaappreciate ko lahat ng ginagawa mo para sakin. Ngayon nararamdaman ko na na sana naging maingay na lang ako sayo. Sana nagkwento na lang ako. Sana nagshare ako. Hindi lang tiga-kinig sayo at sa mga kwento mo. Tapos ngayon, mawawala ka na. Mamimiss kita friend.

Jay: anong... dahilan, bakit kayo naghiwalay? Rayms: alam mo hindi ko rin alam (hehe) siguro nag... nag... nag-ano na rin. nag.. well.. si.. si ely.. si ely quit. so ayun na yun eh. Marcus: nagtext lang si ely na graduate na daw siya. so okay. para sakin ..uhh.. biglaan siya. pero at the same time parang alam ko na rin kasi parang nasabihan na rin niya si Julie (manager) na .. uh.. parang may warning.. parang yun. parang tama lang oras. "ahh yun na pala". parang ganun. Buddy: uhmm... any uhmm.. effective studio band, or studio artist na nagsasama for a.. for a.. for a project will eventually run out of projects that they're interested in and they'll eventually part ways. so same thing with the eraserheads. we went through 7 or 8 studio albums. and... uhhm.. yun. one day si ely fin.. finally decided to call it quits. ganun kasmiple lang. nothing ano.. noooo drama about it. everything else that you hear yung mga drama parts, yung mga away, mga disagreements, nanyayare talaga yan eh.

Jay: isang gabi kung saan huling nakitang tumutugtog sila bilang isang banda. ito na raw ang tanging maireregalo ng eraserheads sa kanilang mga taga-hanga na hindi bumitaw at nagpatuloy ng suporta. sa huling pagkakataon, nagbass si Buddy, naggitara si Marcus, nagdrums si Raymund at kumanta si Ely. Isang pasasalamat ng "banda ng masa" Buddy: sakin isa siyang mahabang kwento na akala mo may.. may katapusan tas biglang may susunod na kabanata pala. na may kasamang soudtrack kasi may kasamang album yun eh. so yung eraserheads para sakin is one long story na pwede kong ikwento sa anak ko.
Rayms: madaming hindi ano eh... not growing for us eh. kunwari di ka gwapo nga, di pala kelangan magandang lalaki, pwede pa rin! hindi kami.. hindi kami magaling tumugtog, pero pwede pala! hindi kami magaling kumanta, pwede rin pala! so lahat yun legacy. pero yung.. yung.. yung craftmanship ng kanta yung respeto sa art, meron kami nun. yun pala yun. so.. yung song... alam mo yun pagmamahal sa.. sa.. sa music. Ely: eto na.. ang huling el bimbo.. sing!

As said by the lyrics itself, a few hours is better than never. Two nights is better than a few hours as well. Last August 30, 2008, a few people knew about a reunion concert. A lot of changes happened. A few days before, the concert was canceled. But Raymund updated the people that the concert will pursue, changing the sponsor and lowering the age limit from 18 to 12 :) Thanks to Mitch, I got a chance to watch the band I've always wanted to watch, live & together.
Nung nandun na kami, may countdown timer ng 10 mins tapos... the intro of Alapaap suddenly played. Everyone was shouting, everyone was screaming. Eto na talaga! When Ely started to sing, people were also singing with him. And the concert continued. 15 songs were played, mostly the familiar songs like With A Smile, Huwag Kang Matakot etc. and they ended the first set with Lightyears. Ely sat down leaning his chin on his hand and his hand on his guitar. Nobody expected something to happen until it was announced (after 20 long mins) that he was rushed to the hospital. Nobody raged. We all understood. And then we offered a moment of prayer and silence. And we all went home. I turned the TV on as soon as I got home from The Fort. News about the concert and Ely's health showed up and I was relieved when they said that he's going to be fine. Raymund also said (to Ely) Pagaling ka, may tatapusin pa tayo. A promise that was kept after a few months. :D
Unang problema, wala pang balita. Then it was announced na tuloy yung concert some time during the latter of January.
Pangalawang problema, walang pera. So nagipon ako. Kaso hindi naging consistent. Pero ayos na, kahit silver lang.
Pangatlo at pang-apat, baka sold out na yung tickets! Eto yung kaba stage. Kasi naman, ang daming nagsabing sold out na! Si Luisa pinakamatindi eh. Katabi ko pa sya nun sa symposium tapos nagdadasal kami. Biglang... "JANZY! SOLD OUT NA DAW TICKETS!" WTF! BAKIIIIT?!?! :(( Nangingilid na yung mga luha ko, tapos iniisip ko kung pano na kaya ako makakapanuod. Binaon ko sa utak ko na may tickets pa sa SM, may tickets pa sa SM, may tickets pa sa SM!!!! Kaso, hindi naman ako makabili agad dahil 2 linggo bago ang concert, wala pa ring' pwedeng sumama sakin! Hanggang sa... Thurday bago ang play namin sa Teatro, nagusap usap kami nina Gmick at Nina. Tapos sinabi na ni gmick na pupunta siyang SM bukas at titignan nya kung may tickets pa. Saturday morning, nasa bahay ako nina Kai dahil doon ako natulog. Nagtext... sabi... "Yehey! We got our silver tickets!" Ang saya ko nun grabe. Tapos pwede na din si Nina so double yehey! =)
And we waited for 030709 to come. Along with that wait was the death of a rap icon and another legend, Francis M. It was said that he was supposed to be a surprise dun sa concert, sadly, he passed away the day before. Napaisip pa nga ako eh, bakit kaya laging may namamatay bago mag concert yung Eheads? Hm.
Huling problemang prinoblema.. Ang aking tatay na magaling. Last minute talaga, nagdedesisyon pa sya kung papayagan ako ampf. Pero itinulog ko na lang. Hahaha. Nung umaga na, sabi ng mum ko sasama na lang sya. Una dahil wala akong kasama (parang di ata tao si Nina, Gmick at GF); pangalawa dahil gusto niya. Hahah. So bumili kami ng ticket for her and went to MOA na. Kumain muna kami sa Magnolia dahil katapat lang naman nya yung entrance namin. We waited hanggang magkaroon ng pila. Tapos may pila na nga. Mga 3:30 pa lang nun nakapila na kami ng nanay ko. Kinakausap pa nga namin yung guard na nagbabantay ng entrance. Sabi bawal daw kami tumili, bawal daw sumigaw at umiyak. (Obviously, hinding hindi manyayare yun. Haha) Pinapasok kami around 4:00. Nakakuha kami ng space sa pinakaharap. Bang! :D And nothing was left to do but wait under the friggin' hot sun. ANG INIT SOBRA! Pero tiis lang. Nakatayo, nakaupo, ang hirap ng agawan ng pwesto nung una.. Nagaantay kami ng ilang oras. Ang tagal mag 8pm. Ilang ulit na namin napanood yung mga ads ng sponsors.
Tapos lumabas sina Anne Curtis with her 35K headband. Andun din si Sib, Andie and the other one. Kaso napahiya lang ata sila. Kasi lahat ng nasa likod namin nagboo. :)) Lahat talaga excited na mag eheads! Hanggang sa... tumugtog ang Magasin. Lahat natuwa. =) They continued their supposed to be songs sa second set nung concert last August 30 tapos nagkabreak. We prayed that nothing would happen. And nothing did. During the next set, Ely was sitting on a chair playing his Fender guitar. A lot happened. Meron pa ngang time na si Marcus yung Huwag Mo Nang Itanong pero iba. :)) Ang laughtrip eh, ang kulit. Tapos maya-maya may Hello Kitty guitar na sya. =))
Everyone was enjoying the concert. Hoping that it would NEVER END. During the final songs of the show, which was a clue when they already sang Pare Ko and evetually Minsan, we were shouting, NO!!! Ayaw ko pang magend! After their song Overdrive, Ely told everyone "Goodnight" and we were all "WEH. Joke lang yan! More!!! El Bimbo!" Tapos ayun na nga, isa pa ulit. Pero after those songs again, nag goodnight na naman sya. Another "whooo. utut mo! We want more!" Tapos they opened it with "Mabuhay si Franics M!" And we sang Superproxy and Kaleidoscope World while videos and pictures of Francis M were flashing on the screens.
Hanggang sa... Ang Huling El Bimbo na. :(( Potek, ayaw ko pa! Ang sakit ng pakiramdam, naman! Everybody was singing the song, everyone was "feeling" it, waving their hands, closing their eyes... Listening to the final song of the final concert.. Nung malapit na matapos yung kanta, lahat naiiyak na. Sinisigaw na yung lahat ng makakaya nila. May fireworks sa likod, may Eheads sa harap. Confetti na parang falling leaves pag autumn. After the final note that Ely sang, he poured gaas on their Sticker Happy Piano. His bandmates were still playing their notes of the song. Ely burned the piano and kicked it. Marking that moment the last of the Eraserheads. Final Set na nga talaga. :( When the song was over, lahat kami sumisigaw ng "GROUP HUG!" and they did. It was a perfect moment. :D

But wait, there's more! They've said their goodbyes and everyone was on their way to the exits. Sobrang lapit na nga namin nun eh pero biglang may nagsalita, "Gusto niyo pa ba?!" The Heck! OO!!!! Then, before I knew it, everyone was running, celebrating, shouting! Nabuksan pa yung mga harang kaya evryone was already inside the Gold Section. They sang 3 songs for "the road" as Ely reffered it to. Ligaya, Sembreak, Toyang. Lahat nagsisigawan. Kahit ako, paos na paos na. And it was aleady over, but it was WORTH IT. :)

Ika nga sa plug nila bago mag show. Ang bawat henerasyon ay may kanya-kanyang soundtrack. They were wrong, this is not just a soudtrack of a generation, it was a soudtrack of the lives of all the people whom they have touched. It was a soudtrack of all time. I grew up with their songs especially Ang Huling El Bimbo since Papa sings it in the Karaoke all the time. But I got into this band when I had my first lovewhen I was 12. Eto na naman po tayo sa never ending pressure. Isang pressure na parang unti-unting gumagapang sakin. Matagal na pala, hindi ko lang napapansin. Well, napansin ko naman noon, akala ko lang hindi sila ganun kakitid para gawin yun. Hindi sya classroom-related, ayaw ko ng away. Hahaha. Pero seryoso, may pressure talaga sakin ngayon. Nung una lokohan lang, pero ngayon kasi SOBRA NA EH. Alam niyo yun? Kaya SSSHHH na lang ako after eh. Kaibigan nga di naman considerate.
